Rain chance is the model’s probability of measurable precipitation for the forecast area and period. A higher percentage does not tell you how long it will rain or how much will fall.

How far ahead does the forecast go?
Weather Penguin requests up to seven days of daily forecast data. The available horizon depends on the weather provider and its model coverage.
Why can a forecast change?
Forecast models are updated as new observations become available and the atmosphere evolves. The timing and location of precipitation can change, especially several days ahead.
